Camp V.O.W. - Veterans of War Mission Statement

Our Mission

Where most non-profit organizations help those who served, in combat after 2001, we believe in helping every combat veteran with PTSD. We can’t forget our Vietnam and Desert Storm veterans that gave their time and now need help, too, like other combat veterans.

We are also a Christian based organization and believe God has helped us through many of our times of hardship. Where a lot of combat veterans, being in combat , started doubting God or stopped believing in God. We are here to get their faith back and continue to push forward. Because of political reasons, most Veteran non-profit organizations don’t believe in involving religion with their programs. We believe it is by the grace of God that we are still here and he is still working himself in our lives.

To sum it up, our mission is to connect each other with other combat veterans, within the community, work on our PTSD and bring each other closer to Jesus Christ. We are not promised tomorrow, so we take it one day at a time.

Family Support

Camp V.O.W. helps families of Veterans connect through family bonding and family events. We will provide events for Veterans to spend time with family and loved ones.

We will also help families with bills, groceries and hard times, once their Veteran passes on. We believe that God has a purpose for us and we are here to help in anyway we can. God tells us to “look after the orphans and widows.”

V.O.W. Wellness Program

With up to 20% of all service members suffering from PTSD, our group meetings, which are held once a week, have helped a number of combat veterans from Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. It’s much easier to confide in one another when we’ve been in the same situations. V.O.W. will provide mental health programs for those interested, at The Battle Within in Kansas City, Kansas.
